Thick v.s. Thin Hair

At some point you have seen a fabulous¬† hairstyle on the internet and recreated it on thinner hair. Maybe you were disappointed? All hair is not the same. Try not to get gloomy when you are working with thin hair. Even if the hairstyle is not as thick or full it is still very beautiful. The color of hair also changes how a finished style looks. Darker hair is harder to see. The entire hairstyle tends to blend together and the fine details are not noticeable unless you are in great lighting. Blond hair shows up best in photographs. Accents pop when done on blond hair. Shadows are helpful in lighter hair. Don’t worry about the hair you are working on. Create art and beauty.

Loose Braids

Loose braids can look so amazingly beautiful.

Have you tried creating a braid, then opening it up as wide as you can for the sake of making it prettier? Here we have a tight five-strand braid. It is lovely. Braids do not need to be loose to be cute or sweet as you can see in this photo.

Hairspray can add the hold and stiffness you may need to make it last all day long. Pin it in several places with tiny bobby pins and make sure to hide the pins under the hair. Spin pins work great as well for holding braids in place.

Keeping a Braid

Change your style day to day while reusing parts of yesterdays style.

Fun is creating a completely different look by re-using a portion of yesterdays hairstyle.  Change the bun or take out part of the hairstyle keeping part of it in.

A different look without that much work. How fun is that?

In my examples I made the top cornrow portion, the day before. It was a fast and easy style, I knew I would build upon the next day, for a fancier overall style. This cuts down on the amount of time you have to spend in the morning creating beauty for your little ones. I gave her two cornrows. I braided out the tail with a four-strand round braid. I added two rope accent braids to make her look like a princess.

13220835_1069776206393762_6578758197654621238_nThe next day, I put the rest of her hair up. I started by french braiding the hair in between the cornrows. I finished by pulling everything into a bun. She was set until tomorrow evening. Both styles were quick and easy. The second days style took half the time it would have if I had done it in its entirety that morning. Save time by breaking up styles and doing them over a few days time.
