Feather Loose

Super loose braids can be super pretty.

Add a touch of elegance to your french braid today. Braid it as loose as you can to get that feathery feel. Tuck up the tail under the braid to finish off the look.

So Many Great Braiders

Pippa Hazell

Mom to three fabulous children.

She does great braids.  Take a look at her work.

It helps that she is working with fabulous hair when she braids…but she clearly practices to have gained the skill level she is at. I love looking at the braids she does as she posts.

FRENCH BRAIDS

Can you make a french braid?

3-strand, french, stitch, single _(6)

This photo shows the iconic regular old french braid. The braid that is passed down generation to generation. The braid that inspires how-to books. The internet is filled with information on how to create just such a braid. Click here to see one such video.

If you were hoping that video was how to do your own hair, I am sorry I let you down. I do have a video that shows how to french braid your own hair. Click here to see a video on how to do a french braid on your own hair.

Once you figure out how to do the french braid and feel strong and competent with it, I would like to bring you to the original point of this blog post. What can you do with a regular old french braid to make it less regular? Yes, another video. This one shows three different accents that may be used with your french braid. If you don’t feel comfortable with just a french braid yet, this will be too much for you to take in. So make sure you can do a french braid first.

If this video stirred your imagination and you are going to use accent strands to create something wonderful…we would love to see photos. Use accent strands on your french braid and take a photograph, head over to our Facebook group and post your photo for us to see.
